Child Support is the money a parent is required to pay for the support of their child. The money helps provide the other parent with funds for food, clothing, shelter and other basic needs of a child. It can also provide the means for activities and sports that enhance a child’s life. Our department exists to help parents meet the needs of their children. Whether you are a parent requesting support or a parent who needs to provide support we assist with both at no cost.
The Placer County Department of Child Support Services has a strong commitment to children and families. It is shown in the work we do every day and in our community efforts. Our goal is for children to get the support they need for a greater chance of success
