CINEMA AT THE STATE THEATER - MONTHLY FILM SERIES
Cinema at the State features “Third Thursdays" a monthly film series, at the State Theater in Auburn at 985 Lincoln Way. “Diner” will be screened Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 7 PM. Movie tickets are $8. For $20 you can have the movie, dinner, and a glass of wine or beer! Coming attractions include “Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid” and “American Graffiti”. HITCHCOCK FILM FESTIVAL IN APRIL
premieres at the State Theater in Auburn on April 16-18 at 985 Lincoln Way. Six of the Hitchcock’s films will be shown in consecutive order, all on 35 MM, beginning with “Shadow of a Doubt” and closing the series on Sunday, “Psycho”. Scholar and former USC and Loyola Marymount film professor and film critic Dr, Michael Callahan will present a lecture on themes and cinematic tricks that Hitchcock used to engross and entertain his audiences. California Announces Film Tax Credit! |

On February 20, 2009, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation creating tax credits for film and television productions as part of an economic stimulus provision in the new state budget. Over the next several weeks, the California Film Commission will be developing program guidelines and application procedures. For more information:
